Two Tamil young women detained in Anuradhapura

Two Tamil young women were arrested in Anuradhapura, capital town of
the north central province in two separate incidents by Sri Lanka
police and Sri Lanka Army, on Wednesday and Thursday, are now being
detained in the Anuradhapura police station for interrogations by
the Terrorist Intelligence Unit, police sources said.
One Tamil woman was arrested by the police at the main checkpoint of
the police located at Madawachchi when she was traveling in a bus
from Vavuniyaa towards Anuradhapura. The second young woman was taken into custody at Saaliyapura army camp while she was traveling towards to Anuradhapura from Madawachchi. Police further said that some civilians have reported that they had seen
an unidentified aircraft conducting surveillance over the Anuradhapura
town Wednesday early morning.
