SLAF bombs Jeyanthinagar civilian settlements

Three Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) Kfir fast attack aircrafts carried out indiscriminate aerial bombardment Wednesday afternoon from 12.25p.m for twenty minutes targeting civilian settlements near Jeyanthinagar, a suburb of Ki’linochchi, sources said.
During three rounds of attacks by the three bombers, at least 12 bombs were dropped destroying three houses. In addition the main road leading from Karadippoakku, Ki’linochchi towards Uruththirapuram has been rendered unusable for vehicular traffic Gandhi children home where children orphaned due to Sri Lanka Army (SLA) offensives are being looked after, and Aroganam Children’s home maintained by Christian missionaries, both located near the place of aerial attack, are also said to have suffered damages but no additional details are available. Shrapnel from the bombs fell within the premises of Ki'linochchi Hindu College located 200 metres from the location of the air attack and the students dispersed in panic and sought refuge in bunkers, according to school officials.
