Civilian feared abducted in Jaffna

A mason from Koaddaikkaadu in Koandaavil, Jaffna has failed to return home after leaving for work on Sunday morning, and is feared abducted, according to complains registered by his family members with Jaffna Human Rights Commission (HRC), Tuesday.
The mason feared abducted is Vadivelu Gnanasekaram, 40, a resident of Koaddaikkaadu, Koandaavil, in Jaffna. Meanwhile, the fate of two students from Velaayutham Vidyalayam in Point Pedro and Vaddukoddai Central College reported missing in the last week of November still remains unknown, Jaffna HRC sources said. The two students were alleged to have been abducted by the Intelligence wing of the Sri Lanka Army. Four students abducted in Jaffna had been released after four months in an earlier incident.
