3 SLA killed in Paalamoaddai clash - LTTE

3 Sri Lanka Army (SLA) soldiers were killed and 7 wounded Friday when Liberation Tigers beat back a ground push by the SLA amid heavy artillery barrage in Paalampiddi in Vavuniyaa - Mannaar border, according to LTTE Operations Command in Vavuniyaa. Heavy fighting was also reported in Pa'ndivirichchaan area in Mannaar.
Two Sri Lanka Army soldiers were killed in Mukamaalai Sunday morning between 8:00 and 9:30 a.m. when Tigers counter-attacked an SLA unit that attempted to breach the LTTE Forward Defence Line. One Tiger fighter was killed in action, according to Mukamaalai Operations Command of the Tigers. The fighting in Paalampiddi lasted till 7:00 p.m. from 5:30 p.m. Details of fighting in Pa'ndivirichchaan are yet to emerge.
