Wasgamuwa sanctuary to be opened day time

Wasgamuwa national sanctuary in the Matale district is to be re-opened for tourists during day time from Monday. Necessary security measures have been taken to ensure protection to tourists and others, according to Tourist Ministry media sources.

The sanctuary was closed following the killing of a two wild life officials while staying in a lodge in the sanctuary recently following several violence incidents in the area, sources said.
