Two bodies found on Ninthavoor beach

Akkaraipattu police recovered two male bodies with gunshot wounds Thursday around 2:00 p.m on Ninthavoor beach in Ampaa’rai district. Three gunshot wounds are found on each body and the victims may have been shot killed Thursday early morning, Ampaa’rai district Senior Police Commissioner, Ananda Balasuriya said.

The two bodies of males, around 35 years of age, remain unidentified, the police said.

The bodies are kept at Akkaraipattu hospital for post mortem examination to be held, the police said.
