10 Sri Lankan policemen killed - Radio

The Voice of Tigers broadcast in the Vanni said this morning quoting the Liberation Tigers, that ten bunkers on the Vavuniya Parayanalankulam road manned by military trained Sri Lankan Police personal were attacked and destroyed by LTTE troops in the early hours of dawn yesterday.

Ten Policemen were killed and the rest of the units in that bunker line fled along with the wounded said the radio.

The Liberation Tigers said that there were no casualties on their side.

The Radio gave the list of weapons captured by the LTTE in this attack. 1 A.K LMG., 4 A.K LMG drum magazines, 69 A.K 47 magazines, medium ammunition 6080, 5.56 ammo 31.
