Tigers seize more arms, ammunition in Mannaar

Liberation Tigers of Tamileelam (LTTE) Operations Command in Mannaar told media Friday that the Tigers who confronted the Sri Lanka Army (SLA) that launched an offensive push Thursday morning in Mannaar seized further arms and ammunitions in addition to five T-56 assault rifles reported on Thursday.
Another T-56 assault rifle, 22,600 Intermediate rounds, 1,600 PK-LMG rounds, thirty magazines, 23 RPG propellers, 800 PK LMG rounds with link, 725 AK LMG rounds with link, 1 binocular, 18 Jacket holsters, five bullet-proof jacket holsters, 16 RPG shells, 65 hand-grenades, 15 water cans, 10 rain coats and 8 helmets were seized in the clearing mission that continued after the confrontation with the SLA that suffered casualties, up to 20 killed, in its attempt to advance from Cheaththukku'lam near Thirukkeatheesvaram towards Veaddaiyaamu'rippuk-u'lam.
