VoT details Pallamadhu clashes

The Voice of Tigers radio said that more than 15 Sri Lanka Army soldiers were killed and several others wounded in the fighting between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. yesterday when the Army attempted to advance towards the LTTE forward defence lines in the Pallamadhu area.
The Liberation Tigers recovered the bodies of five SLA soldiers and some military equipment, the radio said. The VoT said that the following LTTE members died in the fighting yesterday:
Mathinilavan (Sivarajah Karunanithi, Batticaloa)
Mahenthiramohan (Nallathamby Chandran, Ampara)
Jeevaratnam (Sinnarajah Suthaharan, Batticaloa)
Pavalamoorthy (Tharamalingam Shanmuganathan, Batticaloa)
Venuthasan (Rasaiah Parathan, Batticaloa)
Marakkumaran (Nadarajah Thaventhiran, Ampara)
Ramakeethan (Sinnathamby Thambirajah, Batticaloa). The radio also gave the list of weapons captured by the LTTE:

boots-10 pairs
and medium range bullets. Meanwhile the radio said five SLA soldiers were killed when the Liberation Tigers ambushed a SLA party at Sinhapura in the Welikande area in the Polannaruwa district on Thursday. Three LTTE members died in the attack, the radio added.
