Two females recovered dead from well in Mannaar

Two Tamil female siblings who were reported missing since Tuesday evening were recovered dead from a well Thursday at Pa'l'lakkoaddai village in Naanaaddaan PS division in Murungkan, Mannaar, according to legal sources in Mannaar.

45-year-old Thanikaasalam Rajaluxmy and her 43-year-old sister Irasu Nagaluxmy, were the victims recovered dead.

Nagaluxmy was mentally disabled, according to relatives.

Mannaar district judge K. Jeevarany, who inspected the dead bodies at Mannaar hospital instructed District Medical Officer (DMO) to hold the post mortem and submit a report. The judge also instructed the police in Murungkan to investigate the circumstances behind the deaths.
