Colombo deploys failed psyops agent to recruit slave workforce to SL military in Jaffna

A UK-based Tamil operative, recruited for SL military after 2009 by a well-exposed Sinhala ‘terrorism’ professor associated with US-oriented counter-insurgency academic assignments, has emerged as the liaising coordinator running SL military psychological operations in Jaffna. The operative, A Selva alias Kannan, was recruiting a Tamil slave workforce to the occupying Sinhala military during the times of genocidaire defence secretary Gotabahaya Rajapaksa in 2014. But, that project became a fiasco. Now, he is back in business again.

A news item in the Tamil website operated by the military agent claims his position with the SL military
Around 850 out of 1,000 Tamils, who were recruited by Udaya Perera and Kannan to the slave workforce have managed to escape from the occupying military during the last four years.
The remaining few are forced to stay the course through the tactic of offering bond loans to their families.
However, Kannan is now branding himself as a national coordinator for reconciliation initiatives of the SL military and seen again staging a ‘collective interview’ at Nelliyadi in Vadamaraadchi on 27 May.
Kannan has given various assurances to the poverty-stricken families and unemployed youth to make them attend the meeting at Nelliyadi, according to those who participated in the meeting.
The SL military commander in Jaffna Major General Darshana Hettiarachchi addressed the candidates.
Photos from the meeting speak for themselves.
Maj. Gen. Udaya Perera, a former Jaffna commander of the SL military, deployed Kannan for the first time to target the unemployed among the poverty-stricken Tamils in 2014.
Udaya Perera was trained and awarded in the US Army War College in 2012. He was attempting to create a CSD-like workforce in Jaffna.
Civil Security Division (CSD) consists of 10,000 enslaved former LTTE members, who are employed as slave workers at SL military-run farms in Ki'linochchi and Vanni.
Some of them are also transported to and fro the occupied ‘ High-Security Zones’ for employment in farms run by the SL military in Jaffna.
They have also been forced to work as informant operatives. A section of them has been subjected to sexual exploitation by the occupying SL military.
