Two killed in SLA shelling

Two civilians were killed and another wounded when a shell fired by the Sri Lanka Army (SLA) soldiers at Thallady base hit Karukkaikulam, north of Uiylankulam yesterday morning around 6 a.m. said sources.

S.Mahalingam,49, and N.Narayanasamy,55, were killed when they went to see their houses in the village, the sources said.

The wounded civilian,S.Balasamay, is admitted at the Mallavi hospital the sources added.
