Court orders police to arrest Chemmani accused

The Jaffna Magistrate Mr. M. Ilancheliyan today ordered the Police to arrest and produce on March 14 police and army personnel wanted in connection with the alleged disappearance of persons.

The Magistrate made this order at the conclusion of today's proceedings in regard to the identification of the remains of disappeared persons exhumed from the Chemmani grave sites.

The Magistrate further announced that this case would be called once a month until the inquiry is completed.

Today, 22 persons traveled to Jaffna Central College in an attempt to identify the remains of the persons exhumed from the Chemmani grave sites.
