Six killed in Trinco attack - VoT

Three soldiers and three military trained policemen were killed when the Liberation Tigers attacked a joint Police-army detachment in Morawewa north-west of Trincomalee on Sunday night, the Voice of Tigers (VoT) said in its morning broadcast Tuesday.
The radio said that the other soldiers and Policeman in the camp had taken to their heels during the attack. The LTTE shelled the Pankulam Sri Lanka Air Force camp which is close to Morawewa on the main road, according to the VoT. The radio said that the following armaments were captured by the Tigers from the SLA and the Police at the Morawewa detachment- 60 mm mortar -1
