Search operation after Eravur bomb

The Sri Lankan Army and the Police cordoned off and searched division 5 of Eravur, about fifteen kilometers from Batticaloa this morning, after a powerful time bomb went off in the area.

Police sources in Eravur said that the time bomb was set on the path which an army patrol normally takes around 8.30 a.m. in the morning.

Today however the patrol did not come that way said the sources. Details of civilians arrested in connection with the blast during the cordon and search are not available.
