Buddhist monks meditate against truce

About one thousand Buddhist monks Saturday took part in a demonstration and group meditation against the ceasefire between the Sri Lankan government and the Liberation Tigers. The protest was organised by the National Bhikku Council ('Jathika Sangha Sahba').

The monks gathered opposite the Colombo Municipal Council and then marched to Colombo public library to meditate.
