New LTTE cadres pass out from training camp

A ceremony to mark the passing out of 400 men fighters from the 55th training camp and 300 women fighters from the 30th training camp in Batticaloa was held Thursday at the Tharavai central training camp in the LTTE controlled area of Batticaloa, sources said.



Col. Karuna, the eastern commander of the LTTE, who was the chief guest at the event, raised the Tamil Eelam national flag and commended the valor, the commitment and humility of the fighters.

Batticaloa-Ampara special commander Mr. T. Ramesh, women’s wing commander Ms. Nilavini, other commanders, political wing leaders and fighters also participated at the event, sources said.
