Three Sri Lanka Navy soldiers missing

Three soldiers of the Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) are reported to be missing from Saturday after they went on patrol duty in a naval craft from Point Pedro Harbour at the northeastern corner of Jaffna peninsula towards Manalkadu lying south of Point Pedro, security sources in Jaffna said Sunday.

Two dead bodies of unidentified persons were washed ashore in the beach of Mandaitivu Saturday and these have not been yet identified, according to security sources.

The bodies were removed from the beach by home guards of the area on receipt of information from the people of the area, sources said.
