Jaffna private sector education to be streamlined

Jaffna educationists and managers of private educational institutions Monday evening unanimously decided to streamline the functions of private sector education in Jaffna district to ease burden on students and to ensure welfare of the society and development of education, sources said.
Thamileelam Educational Development Board deputy head Arun Master, LTTE Jaffna district political head Mr.C.Ilamparuthi and Jaffna District Students Organization head Mr.Elilanban participated at the conference and explained to the participants the difficulties now being undergone by students in obtaining private sector education facilities in Jaffna district Participants discussed several problems confronting students and teachers in the sphere of education and attending private education institutions, sources said. Three decisions were unanimously taken at the end of discussion in the interest of students and social welfare and educational development.
1. No class should be conducted before 6 in the morning. 2. No class should be conducted after 6.30 in the evening. 3. Only fifty rupees should be collected as admission fee per student.
The conference unanimously agreed to implement the above decisions with immediate effect, organizers said.
