Three-day education exhibition inaugurated in Trincomalee

Three day education exhibition "Piravaham-2003" of the Trincomalee Sri Koneswara Hindu College containing hundreds of art exhibits produced by the college students was inaugurated Thursday by the North East Provincial Education Ministry Secretary Mr. Mr.Thiagalingam.

Provicincial Education Secretary Mr.R.Thiagalingam participating as the
chief guest said the new education reforms now being implemented in the
country make students to learn themselves and to create new things. He commended the Koneswara Hindu College for maintaining discipline among
students and preserving the traditional cultural values of the Tamils. Principal of the college Mr.C. Thandauthapani presided.

Additional Provincial Director Mr.V. Rasiah and Trincomalee Zonal Director
of Education Mr.K.Thilakaretnam were guests of honor. Principals of
St.Mary's College, Sri Shanmuga Hindu Ladies College, Vigneswara Maha
Vidiyalayam, Nilaveli Tamil Maha Vidiyalyam and Killiveddy Maha Vidiyalayam
Messrs Sister Theresa Ranee, Chandra Balasubramaniam, N.Rajanathan,
S.Mathialagan and P.Thevarajah respectively participated as special guests.
