SLMM head meets LTTE Trinco commander Pathuman

The Norwegian head of Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission (SLMM) Major General
Triggve Tellefsen Sunday held a one hour long discussion with the
Trincomalee district area military commander of the Liberation Tigers of
Tamil Eelam (LTTE) Colonel Pathuman at the LTTE's office at Sampur in the LTTE
controlled area, SLMM sources said.
The discussion centred around the Kurankupanchan issue where the Sri Lanka Army (SLA) claims that the LTTE is establishing a new camp. LTTE claims that the SLA is attempting to enter area controlled by it, sources said. Soon after the ceasefire agreement came into force the LTTE submitted a report to the SLMM regarding the areas that are under their control in the Trincomalee district. Fattah Burkan, head of the SLMM in Trincomalee who participated in the
discussion with his deputy Mr. Kurt Spur. LTTE Trincomalee district political head Mr.Thilak and political activist
Mr. Rajesh attended the discussion with Colonel Pathuman, sources said.
