Northeast to mourn for 12 LTTE cadres killed in SLN attack

Arrangements have made to observe mourning day in the northeast for the eleven LTTE cadres and one patriot were killed when the Sri Lanka Nay sunk the LTTE oil tanker on June 14 in international waters off Mullaitivu
coast, sources in Jaffna said.
The main event is to take place Tuesday evening at Valvettithurai. Photographs of twelve LTTE cadres and a patriot killed in the SLN attack
would be taken in a procession from Valvettithurai Nediayakadu Pilliayar
Temple to Valvettithurai Amman Temple, sources said. Thereafter a meeting is to be held and leading personalities of the LTTE
Sea Tigers are expected to address, sources said Meanwhile a memorial for Lt.Colonel Kathir (Selvaretnam Sasinthiran) is to
be laid at Kodikamam Martyrs cemetery Tuesday morning, sources said.
