Fourth meeting of Tamil-Muslim subcommittee held

The fourth meeting of the subcommittee on Tamil-Muslim issues was held Sunday 10am at the Vavunathivu divisional secretariat, sources said.
The meeting started by Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission (SLMM) Batticaloa Head lasted about two hours.
The delegates were able to only briefly discuss matters pertaining to
Muslim-Tamil issues, sources said.
Representing Tamils, E. Kausalyan, the head of the LTTE’s Ampara district Political division led a team that included LTTE' head of Economic Development K.Nizam, LTTE's Head of Administration, Reginald, and Vice President of Tamil United Liberation Front (TULF), Parliamentarian Joseph Pararajasingham.
Batticaloa-Amparai Special Commander Ramesh did not attend the meeting. The Muslim delegation, led by Deputy Minister of Housing Bazeer Segu Dawood included U.L.M. Mupheen, Y.M.M.Cader, M.K.M.Fareed and M.L.M.Hussein. Batticaloa Government Agent, R. Mounaguruswamy, joined as an advisor, sources said
