Jaffna university increases admission

Twenty five students will enter the Medical Faculty of the University of Jaffna shortly, said Professor P. Balasundrampillai, Vice Chancellor of the University.

These 25 students supplement the original number of 66 who have already entered the Faculty.

Although 110 students had originally qualified, many of these are displaced and are unable to enrol.

Meanwhile, another 100 students have been selected to the Faculty of Arts to read for special subjects such as Sanskrit, music, drama, Hinduism, Hindu Culture said university sources.
