LTTE delegation to Paris talks arrives in Colombo

A Ten member delegation of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, led by its
political head Mr.S.P.Thamilchelvan, arrived in Colombo Thursday afternoon
by two special helicopters of the Sri Lanka Air Force from Kilinochchi. The delegation is on its way to participate in "internal talks" in Paris, France, aimed at preparing a response to the Sri Lankan government's interim administration proposals, political sources in Colombo said.
 The LTTE delegation is expected to leave for Paris around Tuesday midnight by Sri Lankan Airlines from the Katunayake international airport, sources in Colombo said. Constitutional and legal experts from Singapore, Australia, Canada and
European countries are expected to participate at the Paris talks, which will commence on August 21 and go on for about ten days, sources said. The head of the LTTE’s Peace Secretariat, Mr.Pulithevan, and the Batticaloa-Amparai District commander, Col. Karuna, are among the members of the LTTE delegation, Vanni sources said.
