Thihilivattai fishermen obtain boats through TEEDOR's micro-loan scheme

The Batticaloa-Amparai branch of Tamil Eelam Economic Development Organization (TEEDOR), the development authority attached to the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), provided 10 fishing boats and fishing nets to fishermen from Thihilivattai in Kalkudah under a micro-loan scheme during an event organized today at 10 am at the Thihilivattai Government Tamil Mixed school, sources said.

Yogan, Head of the Marine Resources section of the LTTE, presided the event. Batticaloa-Amparai district head of the LTTE political section E. Kausalyan, Head of TEEDOR k. Nizam, Batticaloa district Assistant Commissioner of Fisheries K. Selvarajah, Deputy director of TEEDOR, Puvi, LTTE’s head of political section for Kudumbimalai, Jeya, Head of Social Development Saleem and several others participated in the event.
