Thamilselvan, Karuna visit Paris memorial of slain activists

Head of the political secion of Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), S.P. Thamilselvan and LTTE Senior Commander Karuna, at the conclusion of LTTE Paris-talks Thursday visited the Paris memorials of activists Kandiah Perinpanathan and Kandiah Gajendran who were gun down in La Chappelle, Paris by unknown gunmen on the 26th October 1996, sources said.

Kandiah Gajendran alias Gajan was editor of Paris based Tamil weekly 'Eela Murasu' (Drum of Eelam) and wrote a highly popular column on social issues confronting expatriate Tamils. Kandiah Perinpanathan alias Nathan was in-charge of LTTE's international finance. Nathan was honored by the LTTE with Lt.Colonel rank after his death and Gajan was honored with the rank of Captain some months later.
