SLMM, LTTE meet in Batticaloa

Members of the Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission (SLMM) and officers of Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) met at the LTTE Batticaloa office at 6pm Thursday to discuss matters related to improving relationship between communities, sources in Batticaloa said.

Norwegian advisor to the SLMM head office and Head of the Batticaloa branch of the SLMM represented the monitoring mission in the talks.

Batticaloa-Amparai Special Commander Ramesh, Amparai district Head of the Political wing Kausalyan, Head of Administration Prabha, Deputy Head of Administration Kirushan and Manoj participated on behalf of the LTTE, sources said.
