Fishermen's problems discussed at Batticaloa meet

A meeting to discuss issues affecting the fishermen in the Batticaloa district was held at the Mahajana College in Batticaloa Saturday, sources said.

The meeting was organized with the facilitation of the Economic Development division of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE).

The LTTE’s political head for Batticaloa-Amparai, Mr. E. Kousalyan, and Mr. Joseph Pararajasingham, the Tamil National Alliance parliamentarian from the Batticaloa district, participated at the meeting.
