TNA leaders meet to discuss Sri Lanka crisis

The parliamentary group of the Tamil National Alliance (TNA) held a meeting Saturday evening at the office of the Tamil United Liberation Front (TULF) in Colombo and reviewed the President's address to the nation and the present political situation following the dismissal of three key ministers
and the prorogation of the parliament for two weeks, TNA sources said.
TNA parliamentary group leader Mr.R.Sampanthan presided.

Messrs Mavai Senathirajah, G.G.Ponnambalam, N.Raviraj, Selvam
Adaikalanathan, A.Chandra Nehru, Selvam Adaikalanathan, K.Thurairetnasingham and TELO leader Mr.N.Srikantha participated at the
meeting, TNA sources said. After about one and half hour discussion they decided to issue a statement later in the day on the position of the Tamil National Alliance in regard to the current
political situation, TNA sources said. Meanwhile, the Speaker Mr.Joseph Michael Perera has called for a conference of leaders of all political parties represented in parliament on Monday at 9.30 morning to review the current political situation and the prorogation
of parliament, parliamentary sources said.
