TNA leaders to meet LTTE leadership in Killinochchi

Tamil National Alliance (TNA) leader Mr.R.Sampanthan said Monday that vital
decisions would be taken in consultations with the leadership of Liberation
Tigers of Tamil Eelam on Tuesday in Killinochchi regarding the forthcoming
parliamentary general elections.
Mr. Sampanthan and former national list parliamentarian
Mr.K.Thurairatnasingham will be leaving from Trincomalee to Killinochchi
Tuesday morning to meet Mr.S.P.Thamilchelvan and other LTTE leaders
regarding mapping out election strategy, TNA sources said. Mr.Sampanthan said this is time for the Tamils and Tamil moderate
leadership to show that they have been with the LTTE to the international
community. Mr.Jospeh Pararajasingham, another senior leader of the TNA, left Colombo Monday evening to Kilinochchi, having filed a petition in the Court of Appeal against the interim injunction order of the Colombo District Court which has been in favour of the Tamil United Liberation Front's (TULF) leader, Mr. V.Anandasangaree. Other
TNA leaders also left Monday to Killinochchi, sources said. At the discussion which is scheduled to be held Tuesday in Kilinochchi with LTTE leadership, all matters related to the issue of Mr. Anadasangaree's legal challenges, problems faced by the TNA in selecting a suitable election symbol for the TNA candidates in the event the TULF's election symbol "Rising Sun" symbol could not be used, would be finalized, sources said. From Kilinochchi all TNA leaders would travel to Colombo attend the nomination board of the TNA, which is scheduled meet Wednesday in Colombo to finalize the list of candidates, sources said.
