Col.Pathuman was responding to a question relating to the interview yesterday over the BBC Tamil Service in which Karuna made this allegation.

Associated with Mr. Pathuman in this interview were Mr. S.P. Thamilchelvan, Mr. Karikalan, Mr. Ramesh, Mr. Ram and Kausalyan. The Leaders from Batticaloa-Amparai and Trincomalee explained in detail the current situation in the context of Karuna’s treacherous act and assured that the cadres who are still in Batticaloa-Amparai will be protected by them since they are confident of their commitment to the Leadership and the Tamil cause.

“Under no circumstances will a single individual’s act be allowed to create confusion and dissension among the people who are really sincere to the Tamil Leadership,” said the Commanders.
