Anton Balasingham arrives in Colombo

Mr.Anton Balasingham, The Liberation Tigers' theoretician and political strategist, arrived in Colombo Friday morning around 5.30 a.m. and he was received by the Sri Lanka's Norwegian ambassador, Mr. Hans Brattskar, at the
Katunayake international airport, Colombo media sources said.
Mr. Balasingham's visit to Vanni is to meet LTTE leader, Mr.V.Pirapaharan, and other senior LTTE leaders ahead of a visit of the Norwegian Foreign Minister, Mr.Jan
Petersen, and his deputy, Mr. Vidar Helgessen, to map out the strategy for future peace talks with the United Peoples Freedom Alliance (UPFA) government, sources said. Mr.Balasingham and his wife, Adele Balasingham, are to be airlifted to the LTTE-held Vanni Friday morning after a short period of rest in Colombo, the sources said.
