Kfir jets of the SLAF struck again today in the Vanni, wounding two civilians. The jets hit the village of Naayaaru in the Manalaaru area this morning around 7.30 a.m.

A civilian identified as Inpan, 30, displaced from Kommathurai in Batticaloa and S. Shanmugam displaced from Union Kulam in Skandapuram near Kilinochchi were wounded by the bombs dropped by the Kfirs.

The condition of Inpan is said to be serious said an NGO source in the Vanni.

Meanwhile the two fishermen who went missing in an SLN attack on fishing boats in the seas off Mullaithivu swam ashore to safety 16 miles from where their vessel had been sunk.

One reached Nallathanni Thoduvaai and the other Punnai Thoduwai on the northern extreme of the Mullaithivu coast.

Another report said that eight civilians who went too close to an area still held by the SLA near Kilinochchi town to inspect their houses were wounded when they had walked onto a minefield on Wednesday.

Some have lost their legs said NGO sources in the Vanni.
