Journalist author releases book on Koneswaram Temple

Pilgrimage to Holy Thirukoneswaram (Thirukoneswara Thiruthala Yathirai), a research book on historic Trincomalee Koneswaram Temple and the history ofTrincomalee is to be released on October 2 at an event held in London Muthumariamman Temple located at Upper Totting Road, London.

The author of the book Mr.Vethanayagam Varathasuntheram is a leading Tamil and English journalist in Sri Lanka, and served as a legal correspondent to TamilNet earlier.

Ms Selvamani Vadivelu, retired Education Officer in Sri Lanka will preside the event. Mr.Ravi Thamilvanan, Managing Director of Manimekalai Publications will deliver the publisher's address and will release the first copy. The book release in Sri Lanka will be held later at the end of this month, sources said.

The message of the President of the Koneswaram Temple Society in Trincomalee Mr.M.K.Sellarajah will be read by Ms Sugirtharanee Sivalingam and the message of Mr.P.Wijeratnam, President of Colombo Thamil Sangam by Mr.Gunalan Selvarajah.

Mr.K.Sivasubramaniam, former President of Thampalakamam Aathi Koneswaram Temple who is currently in London will also speak.

Mr.K.Sivapalan, Emeritus Principal of Trincomalee Hindu College and Ms Selvamani Vadivelu will deliver the appreciation address.
