AAT course inaugurated in Killinochchi Technical Institute

Killinochchi Technical Institute functioning under the guidance of Economic Consultancy House and supported by London TR Tech recently inaugurated the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Course. Mr.T.Priapaharan, Principal of the Institute presided over the inaugural event of the course.

Mr.Pirapaharan said that Tamils domiciled abroad have contributed for starting AAT course. At least fifty students should enroll for studying the course if the AAT examination is held in Killinochchi. He has taken necessary steps to fulfill that condition. Mr. Jeyaraj, Accountant of the Killinochchi district secretariat and a lecturer in the Killinochchi Technical Institute said the commencement of the AAT course has come as a boom to youths of Killinochchi who have completed GCE O/L and Advance Level examinations and awaiting for higher education. Mr.Ganeshapillai, Chairman of the Killinochchi Non-Governmental Organizations Consortium and a member of Board of Governors of the Killinochchi Technical Institute, Mr.Santhalingam, FORUT Director and a member of the Killinochchi Technical College Board of Directors, Mr.S.Thilak, Economic Development Director and Professor Mr.Navaratnarajah. Jaffna University Professor and the Chairman of Economic Consultancy House also spoke.
