Over 3000 graduates take part in job training

Three thousand two hundred and fifty seven graduates recruited under the job recruitment scheme launched by the United Freedom Alliance (UPFA) government are currently undergoing six months' training in eight administrative districts in the Northeast Province. The training programme commenced on October 21 as scheduled.

According to the provincial public administration ministry sources the inaugural event of the training programmes were held at the following places:
  • Batticaloa district: Sivananda College
  • Amparai district: Sammanthurai Town hall and Amparai Town Hall
  • Killinochchi district: Cultural hall in
  • Mullaitivu district: Mullaitivu Maha Vidiyalayam in
  • Vavuniya district: District Secretariat auditorium
  • Mannar district: Information Technology Park
  • Trincomalee district: Provincial Guest House
  • Jaffna district: Veerasingham Hall, Kodikamam office, Karaveddy PS office , Kopay Christian College and Manipay PS office in,

    After six months training they would be posted to permanent posts in the government sector in the Northeast Province, the sources said.
