"Tamil people were killed while working in paddy fields, walking on roads and plying in vehicles in the wartime. But in the current peace environment Tamils are being killed while playing football in playgrounds. The recent Valvettithurai massacre is clearly an unacceptable situation for the Tamil people," said Mr.Paapa, speaking at the inaugural event of Soccer and Volley Ball tournaments. VVT massacre has brought to light that Tamil youths are deprived of their right to play in home playground, Mr.Paapa said. Soccer tournament commenced Monday and the volleyball tournament commenced Tuesday.
