Four missing after attack

The Liberation Tigers attacked a Sri Lankan police station at Maancholai in Valaichenai, 30 km. north of Batticaloa last night around 11 p.m.. Four policemen are reported missing in the attack, said police sources.

The Liberation Tigers removed arms and other military equipment from the Police station, said sources in Valaichenai.

Further details are not known.

Meanwhile the Voice of Tigers (VoT) said in its morning broadcast today that a LTTE fighter, Kuyilan (Mariyathas Anton, Trincomalee), died Friday in clashes with the SLA in Ampakamam, near Mankulam.

The radio also said that skeletal remains of two unidentified persons, believed to be youths, have been discovered in the Amparai jungles. No other details were given.
