Jaffna youth reported missing found dead

Mr. Cumaraswamy Thirukumaran (26) of Puttur east in the Achchuveli police division reported missing since January 29 was found dead Saturday and his body was recovered from a bush near Kottuthanai. Jaffna Police immediately commenced investigation to find how the youth met his death, sources said.

Achchuveli Police handed over the body to the mortuary of the Jaffna Teaching Hospital for post-mortem examination, sources said.

Relatives later identified the body as of Mr.Thirukumaran.

A bicycle was also recovered from the scene where the body was lying, police said.
