Boat building yard opened in Vadamaradchchi east

Funded by the Norwegian and Malaysian branches of Tamils Rehabilitation Organisation (TRO) and in collaboration with the Multi Marine Services (MMS) organization, the TRO Monday opened a boat-building yard in Nelliyan, Vadamaradchchi east division in the Jaffna district, sources said.
  Mr.Cader, senior commander of the Sea Tigers, Mr.S.Thangan, deputy political head of LTTE, Mr.Vincent, Planning Director of TRO and officials of the UNHCR and UNICEF lit the traditional oil lamp. Mr.Mangales, commander of the Sea Tigers hoisted the Thamileelam national flag. Mangai Boat Building Division head Ms Ananthi declared open the yard by
cutting the ribbon. Mr.Thangan unveiled the name board. Mr.Rajan, TRO Killincochi district Director presided. Mr.Stanislaus, Secretary of the
Fisheries Co-operative Societies Federation gave the felicitation address. Mr.Nilavan, Political Head of the Sea Tigers, local heads of UNHCR and
UNICEF, Mr.Sudar, Director for NECORD projects in TRO, Mr.Ganeshapillai,
President of the Consortium of Killinochchi District Non-Governmental
Organizations and Mr.S.Thangan, LTTE deputy political head spoke. Mr.Sivagnanam, co-ordinator of the Vadamaradchchi East Development
Organization proposed vote of thanks.
