The public also demanded the Municipal officials to implement the needed rehabilitation work to the Jaffna's Main Open Grounds so that cultural events can again be held there, sources said.

The Municipal Commissioner assured the audience that he will give priority to the two requests and asked for co-operation from the public. He also added that demands for community projects should be communicated to the officials at the earliest opportunity so that the officials and the public can work together in improving the social welfare of the people.
