Meanwhile the TULF has sofar submitted names of 4 new candidates to the Commissioner of Elections to fill the vacancies following the resignation of 5 councillors. They are: Shanmugam Aavinthan, 30, Nadarasa Raviraj, 45 , Kathirkamar Sinnathurai, 53, and Thambirasa Mukunthan, 25. The new Mayor for the JMC, Mr. Sivapalan is expected to assume duties on June 29.
