Co-Chairs representatives to meet LTTE

A top level diplomatic team representing the Co-Chairs of the peace process in Sri Lanka are scheduled to visit Kilinochchi and meet the LTTE's Political Head Mr. S.P. Thamilchelvan on Saturday to discuss the situation following the recent escalation of violence in Jaffna and Mannar districts, sources in Kilinochchi told TamilNet.

The delegation comprising the Head of the EU Delegation to Sri Lanka, Ambassador Julian Wilson, High Commissioner of United Kingdom, Mr. Stephen Evans, Ambassador of Japan, Mr. Akio Suda, and the Norwegian Deputy Ambassador to Sri Lanka Mr. Oddvar Lægreid will travel to Vavuniya on a Sri Lanka Air Force helicopter and reach Kilinochchi via A9 route, the sources added.

Meanwhile the representatives of the Co-Chairs have discussed the current situation with the Sri Lankan Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Friday, informed sources in Colombo told TamilNet.
