Lectures at Jaffna Campus are to resume 15th Wednesday according to press release issued by Jaffna University Students Union Sunday. Though complete normalcy is yet to prevail, arrrangements have been made for all students to pursue learning again, said University sources. The University was suspended on the 19th December after attacks by Sri Lanka Armed (SLA) forces on University students' protest demonstration and the ensuing violent incidents.

According to the interim arrangement made earlier, lectures and examinations are already being conducted for the final year students from 8th March. While the 3rd year students begin their studies Monday, all courses for the 1st and 2nd year students are to begin Wednesday, said the Student Union.

Meanwhile, the University authorities and the Student Union have requested the public to provide lodging facilities for outstation students who had to relinquish their places of stay when the campus closed suddenly, University officials said.
