Trincomalee district Political Head of the Liberation Tigers
of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) Wednesday night lodged a complaint with the Sri Lanka
Monitoring Mission (SLMM) in Trincomalee that the attack on Tamil business
establishments and Tamil civilians by hooligans brought down in a lorry
immediately following an explosion in Trincomalee town Wednesday
evening was a preplanned one and had been carried with the support of the
Sri Lanka armed forces, LTTE sources said.
The arrival of a gang of persons in a lorry soon after the explosion indicate that the there was a pre-planned arrangement to attack Tamils
and their businesses, Trincomalee district political head said in his complaint. "The gang was engaged in looting and setting fire to business establishments with the connivance of Sri Lankan armed forces," Elilan said in his complaint to the SLMM.
