Gunmen have used 9 mm handgun to gun down the victim. He was hit by 6 bullets in his head and abdomen, Police said.

The EPDP cadre, Sellathurai Sivakumar, 33, is from New Boundary Road, Urani.

Sivakumar had gone to market to purchase grocery items to the Batticaloa office of the EPDP, Police said.
