LTTE to hand over SLA soldiers' bodies to SLMM

Liberation Tigers are to hand over the twelve bodies of SLA
soldiers killed in the Friday morning attack in Vakaneri to the Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission (SLMM) in the LTTE held Illupadaichchenai in Batticaloa district Saturday morning, Mr.Dayamohan, Batticaloa district LTTE political head said.
Representatives of the International Committee of Red Cross are expected to
facilitate the transport of SLA soldiers' bodies to government controlled
area in the district, sources said. One Lance Corporal of the SLA has been captured alive by LTTE cadres,
Mr.Dayamohan said. Four injured SLA soldiers have been admitted in the
Polonaruwa government hospital. Meanwhile, the SLA website said that eight SLA soldiers have gone missing in Vakaneri attack. Four LTTE cadres were killed in the encounter and six
others have been injured, according to LTTE sources.
