MP accuses Government minister of complicity in Raviraj killing

Colombo District Parliamentarian of United National Party (UNP) T.Maheswaran, addressing the parliament on Monday, accused a cabinet minister of the Government of Sri Lanka (GOSL) of complicity in the assassination of late Raviraj Nadaraj, the Jaffna District Tamil National Alliance (TNA) Parliamentarian, parliamentary sources in Colombo said.

Maheswaran further added that law enforcement authorities have neither completed the investigations nor have identified the criminals responsible for murdering several prominent Tamil politicians in the last 12 months.

Commenting on the accusations, the government spokesman and cabinet minister, Nimal Sripala De Silva, said since the investigations on Raviraj's assassination are on going, it is inappropriate to discuss details pertaining to the murder.
