Two youths shot dead in Murunkan

Bodies of two unidentified youths with gunshot injuries on their heads were found Friday at Pichchaikulam area in Murunkan police division in Mannar district. On receipt of information from residents of the area Murunkan Police rushed to site brought the bodies to Mannar general hospital Thursday evening around 4:00 p.m.

Mannar acting Magistrate A.S.Johnthasan Thursday evening viewed the bodies at the Mannar general hospital and ordered identification and postmortem examination on these bodies, legal sources said.

Mannar acting Magistrate later fixed the inquest proceeding into these deaths in Mannar courts on December 20 and directed the Murunkan Police to investigate into these deaths.
